House Rules
Last updated: June 15, 2026
Welcome to our cozy retreat! These house rules are part of your booking agreement. When you book the Destination Long Beach cottage, you confirm that you have read and agree to the rules below.
Your Home Away From Home Agreement
We want your stay to be as enjoyable as possible, so here are a few guidelines to ensure a harmonious experience for everyone involved.
- Reservation details. Please make sure the number of adults, children, and pets listed in your reservation is accurate. Any changes must be requested through the reservation platform.
- Be a good neighbor. Respect and consideration go a long way. Please conduct yourselves in a manner that doesn't disrupt the tranquility of our neighborhood. Only access the beach via the public beach path, do not cut through neighbors' yards. No smoking, illegal substances, or firearms are permitted on the premises. Let's keep the peace.
- Temporary stay. This is your temporary haven, not a permanent residence. Mail services are not available at the cottage. Any damage to the property during your stay is your responsibility; charges will be applied to the card on file.
- No criminal activity. Using the property for criminal activities, including unauthorized downloads, is strictly prohibited. We may cooperate with investigations of alleged criminal activity during your stay.
- Unexpected circumstances. In rare instances, we may need to cancel a reservation due to repairs or maintenance. If this happens, rebooking will be subject to the booking platform's terms.
- Child-friendly note. Our cottage isn't child-proofed, so it's not suitable for young children and infants.
- Neighborhood etiquette. Help us maintain a peaceful environment. No parties, and please keep noise levels down between 9 pm and 9 am.
Pet Policy
If you plan to bring a furry friend, here are some guidelines to ensure a paw-sitively great experience:
- Communicate the size and breed of your dog(s) before booking.
- Dogs must be crated when left alone and should not disturb the peace with excessive barking.
- Always leash your dog outside (our yard isn't fully fenced).
- Be a responsible pet owner and clean up after your dog in and around the neighborhood.
- Financial responsibility rests with pet owners for any property damage or injuries caused by their pets.
- Dogs on furniture are allowed only with a dedicated pet cover; please keep them off beds and linens.
- Provide proof of up-to-date vaccinations upon request.
- Treat your pets for fleas and ticks before arrival to avoid charges.
Arrival Sweep
Upon arrival, we kindly request that you perform a thorough sweep of the cottage to ensure everything is as listed, free of bugs, and the space is clean. A confirmation message from you will be requested by us. This helps us maintain the highest standards for your comfort and enjoyment.
Thank you for being a considerate guest! We hope you enjoy your stay at our home away from home.
